Commissions

Some commissions from over the years:

Commissioned in 2024 for an authentic English style garden this bower was made from cedar and left unfinished for a natural look, feel and smell.

Garden Bower

reVibe sign #2

Commissioned by reVibe in Port Stanley in 2021. The letters are made from reclaimed aluminum siding and scrap wood. This sign is 95% recycled materials other than the screws and wall fasteners.

Gun #1

Commissioned by a gun lovin’ guy.  It was made from some old barbed wire found in the woods, as well as the leg from an abandoned BBQ, some scrap siding and a few other bits. It’s 99% reclaimed materials with the only new parts being some adhesive and perhaps a couple screws.

Lectern #1

An adjustable lectern. The platform tilts from 170 degrees to a flat 90 degrees and extends from 34” to 56”.

Mostly new and scrap plywood. Finished with Boiled Linseed Oil and a pastewax made from spent beeswax candles and the same Linseed Oil.

Fun Flower

Putting down roots half a block east of Adelaide on Dundas St. in London Ontario. This installation was made from 99% recycled and reclaimed materials. It’s mostly reclaimed aluminum siding and eavestroughs. The only new materials are some safety chains and anchors.

Port Stanley Mirror

Commissioned in 2019 to include all the loved aspects of Port: the water, boats, gulls and fish. The mirror was someone’s junk and the rest is 99% recycled material, including scrap aluminum, burned-out light bulbs and fuses, and some wire found in the woods.

Antler Opener #3

This bottle opener was commissioned by a good friend who happens to love beer and hunting. The antler was from a deer they harvested.

Golden Cock

Commissioned by a chicken keeper on Vancouver Island. Built from reclaimed aluminum siding, a few other found metals, and a burned-out light bulb. It’s 99% reclaimed materials other than a couple fasteners and some adhesive. He’s been ruling the roost in Nanaimo BC since 2021.
