Originally designed for Tai Chi forms, most of these sabres are well-suited for such practices. There are however a few feature creative variations in the mix. They are crafted from a variety of reclaimed materials, including leftover maple and oak flooring, fir salvaged from an old tabletop, and assorted woodshed scraps. Each sabre is made with a single solid piece of wood, extending from blade to pommel. The handles are weighted using repurposed automotive wheel weights to create a more realistic balance.
Finished with 100% boiled linseed oil and a homemade paste wax made from the same linseed oil and beeswax recycled from used candles.
