HollyHock2000

Experimenting with new materials with this one.  HollyHock2000 is a 7.5 foot tall flower made from some very unique downspout, tv cables and wire.

WisteriaNorth

WisteriaNorth is a proof of concept piece I build at the family camp near the north shore of Lake Huron.

I came across a lot of abandoned garden hoses and thought they'd make great version of climbing ivy.  Old bread delivery racks make the flower buds while reclaimed eavestrough make up the flower pedals. The leaves came from some this steel shingles I pulled from the dump.

The Garden of the Future .. Today

The garden of the future needs no water or sun to thrive.  This series of giant flowers will keep your garden in bloom year 'round.

Project DrumFish

I found an old oil drum on a walk along a local creek.  It was in rough shape but managed to donate enough material to make two ancient-looking wall-mounted fish sculptures.  Each approx 35" long.

Project BarrowFish

An abandoned wheelbarrow was the inspiration for a series of two wall-mounted sculptures and also was the spark of my FatFish.

Pelee Marsh

Inspired by the marsh in Point Pelee National Park, this scene depicts the two Water Lily species (Fragrant White Lily and Spatterdock) and the tall grasses that the marsh is know for.

FatFish

Eight feet long and built from nothing new—FatFish is made from reclaimed aluminum siding, old eavestroughs, an abandoned wheelbarrow, and an old garden table.

No paint added. Just shape, balance, and a bit of stubborn character.

Project RiverFish

Inspired by a stainless steel table top I spied in the Thames River at Gibbons Park.  This project yielded five wall-mounted fish sculptures each approx 30" long.

My first big gallery installation.  My Aquarium is on display at Art with Panache in London's Talbot Centre mall.
