⚠️ WARNING! This piece has many sharp edges and must be handled with care. Not child appropriate at all! TBH... a good percentage of adults should probably not handle this either.
HollyHock2000 was an experimental piece.
The flowers and buds are made from my usual reclaimed aluminum eavestrough and downspout, but the structure and cladding use new (to me) materials.
Rusty wire as a structural element was a first, and a concrete floor core cutout serves as both base and visual anchor.
Instead of aluminum cladding, I used old coaxial cable and other bits of wire to create a more energetic flow.
This piece can be displayed indoors or outdoors, but it’s best kept sheltered from rain in the winter months as repeated freeze/thaw cycles will eventually erode the base connection.
